The Bumps at 30th

On the fifth of June I wrote that I finally got done and rushed to the VTA but my transfers to DC, where my bike was, went smoothly except for a delay at Colma.  I was stopped dead at Glen Park though and had to take San Jose to Valencia—which was alright except for the bumps at 30th.

I dropped the bike at my friend’s and walked.  Apparently the girls had had a drink near work after getting laid off but they had told me to meet them at Martuni’s.  One was waiting for a bunch of tech people and I sat next to my friend and another person and spoke at length to a lady.  Some others were at the end of the tables and one guy looked like Elvis.  I dumped my martini on my pants.

The tech guys showed up and my friend and I made to leave.  We were hampered first by some new guy, an acquaintance who had just arrived and finally some random tech guy.  When we got outside we walked to her place.  Her roommate was making dinner and offered to feed us.  I walked to the store to get more food and when I returned we ate.  I was asleep by 11.

In the morning of the day that I wrote this I skipped the first train of the morning and had coffee with a friend at Four Barrel.  We talked about projects—in photography and video.  She told me that her sister may want to use me in a photo session.  She said that the Wednesday before she had visited a friend from tango and I was not surprised.  I noted that after that I barely made the next train.  I sat next to a business man and got to work at 10.

This is an occasional series chronicling my life. This Notebook Analysis series is meant to be contemporaneous piece developed as an agglomeration of my notebook pages. In each of these posts I used my notes to develop my recent thoughts.
