Everyone Rode the AirTrain

On January 6 I wrote that that morning I was up at 8:30 about. My friend had made pop overs and I focused on cleaning. She left easily and my brother went to the print shop. When he returned we headed out to the airport to meet our sister and brother-in-law during their layover.

The trip was hard because I had to deal with all the steps to go and it was raining heavily. My brother pushed the cart and at 16th St. BART we dried off and caught a train.

We found a seat at the cafeteria in terminal G for a drink and a meal. Our sister and brother-in-law were in good spirits but we’re not happy with the flight. They had to lose weight before takeoff because the plane was too small for the bookings and it was snowing in DC in Denver.

We talked about DC and their family. I quietly watched some football. Later my brother and everyone rode the AirTrain before we said bye to our sister and brother-in-law. My brother and I took BART back to the apartment.

The rain had stopped and my friend had picked up a chicken sandwich which I was eating while my brother was getting ready to go. I tidied and did dishes while my friend wound down and eventually I took the garbage down and stopped off at the grocery store and thieves.

The Orbit Room

In the morning of 31 December I wrote that I woke at 8:30 after a struggle. I ate some food and we got ready for the day. We had a good time at Four Barrel after that. I decided to quietly climb into Lafayette Square and said bye to her at 14th. I got off the 49 at Clay and spent 20 minutes at Starbucks on California before going to the park. The place sounded like a foot being dragged.

I had a good time and an hour later I walked down Laguna to the grocery store on Hayes Street and walked home. That was around when my friend showed up. She had been at her shop getting stuff.

After running some errands we got ready for the evening. I went to the corner store then and when I got back my sister had shown up. My friend and I left her there to go to a local bar for a few drinks and a pizza. We saw some bread is there and Frank Sinatra clips. We also watched Hot Tub Time Machine.

Early Hours of Christmas

On December 26 I wrote that in the early hours of Christmas I quietly checked on things early and tried to keep the noise down until around 730. Then it was noisy for about three hours while we opened presents. By then my host‘s parents and aunt were over and there was food and other stuff going on.

When it was nearing time for my friend and I had to leave our hostess said bye and we rushed off to catch transit to the city. Later we caught a train to my sister’s. When we arrived I noted that my parents were going to be late. I had a drink and an hour later they showed up and we opened some gifts.

After that we sat for dinner. The meal was quiet and I had to get up a few times. Then after dinner we did the elephant gift exchange and then I finally was able to lie down and relax. We were all very tired. Moments later there was an accident and we had to make a late night trip to the hospital. The doctor said things would be alright and scheduled us to get fitted for a cast.

Things were OK after that. When I awoke in the morning of the day that I wrote this I spent some time in the living room. Mom had made pancakes. The loud evening before had created new situations. I helped my friend a bit and left at 11 for work.
