Save SF Bike Candidates

On the fifth of December I wrote that the roommate would hold down the apartment around 7 o'clock. My friend and I got on the bikes then and rode to sixth. From there we parked our bikes in the lot out back and headed to the shop where Winterfest was.

A prominent SFBike candidate was out front and we saw the car free lifestyle dealers as we entered. We went downstairs and ordered beer. I saw a professor I knew. We went to the bar and I got a drink. We spoke to some car free list serve people and my friend’s riding partner and three other people.

My friend and I decided to go to the top floor with her riding partner. We went to the women bike table and spoke to a candidate. We also saw a well known bar owner and asked him about Paris. We spoke to a librarian I was acquainted with and I also her husband an art teacher charged with curating the art auction.

We went and voted for the board. I mostly voted for at save SF bike candidates that I had met or heard about. We took the stairs down and walked to the food. I told my friend - who was talking to an architect we knew that I would get another beer.  I got her a coconut water.

We went and looked at the bikes. A very familiar person knocked my beer over and the event photographer told me it was all right. We were talking to the architect over some foldie when we saw a game artist my friend knew. She confirmed that we had seen her a few days earlier at Fourth and King when she had done the market sweep.

We went upstairs to the photo booth. My friend spoke to a local journalist and then we took a photo. We also interacted with a couple of people from the midweek bike ride and some random guy. We spent the next twenty minutes in conversations we were trying to get out of.  We also looked at the art before playing catch up with a couple of people we knew from the car free happy hour.

We went down and got our jackets before we went to the valet. There we saw my friend’s riding partner and tried to ride with her but she was busy with some guys she knew.

Pouring Very Heavy Pours

On 1 December I wrote that I had had breakfast with my friend before I headed off to the hashtag event.  Upon my entrance I immediately saw the regulars.  One of them had brought a new guy - an engineer who was visiting from out of town.

I spoke with a few close colleagues before getting a drink.  I met a lady at the bar who said she would be having a fundraiser for an ailing bartender. I told her about my grandfather.

I returned to the group and started talking about some business that one of the group and I had done.  There was an armagnac tasting and we all took part. The stewardess wasn't pouring very heavy pours though. I tried talking to my colleagues about web development.

I bought some people a beer as one of the people I invited - a city worker - came in.  He greeted me but spent a lot of time after that with the stewardess. Later I spoke to a couple of the regulars until a number of people indicated they were leaving.

Eventually I got three people to visit a local hacker space on Mission Street. One of the guys had business there so we tagged along. We went down Albion Clarion. Upon our arrival I found a beer to share.  Our contact had his own cubicle that he had to push everybody out of. After spending some time there we walked to BART and I headed to the apartment.

The Start of Bridgeway

On 28 November I wrote that I prepared for my ride and headed to a coffee shop for a bike ride with an engineer I knew. She was only a little late and we set drinking coffee until my acquaintance from the East Bay showed up. She was a a slower club rider and had seen my ride on the Coalition website.

Once we were saddled up we rode to a local bike shop swell before heading into Golden Gate Park past the Polo Fields. The engineer indicated she had done this route multiple times. We had done it the first time on Bike to Work Day.

We wrote from 20th and Fulton to 15th then and went to the golf course. The club rider had trouble with the climb. I had to stop at the course store and we stopped at Pacific Overlook too.  Then we crossed the access ramp to the Golden Gate Bridge and crossed the bay on the west side.

After we crossed the bridge we looked at our options and then wrote down the main road. I let them go first but passed the slower one at the bottom.  When I reached the second rider I told her to go ahead while I waited.  We swapped as we headed into Sausalito and I waited at the start of Bridgeway.

After this we hung out at the ferry Plaza before going on to explore the parking lots on the way to Davy Jones's Deli. I got a sandwich after waiting and watching the bikes. A bit later we went the same way back.

We hung out at the terminal and had our meal there. After that we hopped on the ferry and left our bikes downstairs. I got a drink and the three of us talked about our lives.  I remember big weddings was a subject.

Before we got to the ferry building I had us get our bikes ready. The attendants tried to deter us while also trying to help. That made my arm hurt. We said bye to the club rider at Embarcadero station and rode to the Wiggle.

The engineer and I had a good conversation while rising to the Panhandle.  We rode to the JFK street closure and then to Middle and Martin Luther King. We said bye on Judah and I went to the house.

Impressed with The Turkey

On 26 November I wrote that I had finished writing and I had gone upstairs to the living room. I found that my nephew wanted to go on a bike ride when I got there. However, my neice wanted my brother to stay. I told them we would leave and she started to cry.

My friend intervened then and the three of us to 45th and Lincoln. I had a trike but it was low on power. We went to the Polo Fields and raced. Then we climbed to Prayerbook Cross and enjoyed the breeze. I had brought some beer.

Later we finished the beer at the beach before climbing up the hill to Sutro heights. I took a great picture.  We rode back following my nephew to Great Highway. I spent some time in the bedroom. Upstairs it was slowly becoming dinner time and when I came up it was being served. I sat down as Mom was taking a picture.  I stole dad's wine.

I had trouble getting everything on my plate because of my arm. My niece helped a lot. I would avoid saying certain things because people didn't like my comment sometimes. I tried all the food that I could because my friend had made quite a bit of it. I was not impressed with the turkey so had cranberry sauce with my potatoes

We took a break and eventually Clue and Scrabble came out. I sat at the table with my nephew and the men. The ladies played Clue in the other room. The game started out OK with my brother-in-law’s family fighting for control but they were falling behind. I got a beer and my brother got ahead of me.  However, I got a head again when I returned after I had gotten a tea for the ladies.

I was working on another word when we were only had two tiles left.  The other teams became anxious as I floundered and failed at getting anything done. The kids looked over my shoulder and the tension rose. My sister was complaining of how long the game took.

Eventually my brother started challenging everything that I put down. When I finally put something down that I liked I knocked over a beer, gave up and went downstairs.

Next morning I was up around 645 and later while I was napping Mom and my brother made plans to go to the DeYoung. We decided that everyone would go with my friend and I to the cafe before heading to the museum.  We walked faster than the others and ordered before they came. We sat discussing the coffee and talking about pictures.

We left when we knew my sister was on her way. The train was prompt and we all got seats. we saw my sister as we arrived at ninth. The eight of us walked in the park. At the bandshell we looked at parking tunnels and a musician. We broke up in the lobby. I was with my sister getting tickets. We went downstairs to the Frank Stella exhibit. As we walked I determined I really like the aluminum series. The more colorful Benjamin Moore series was also nice.

My friend bought a print at the gift shop. We went to the café and had lunch then.  Everyone made plans to go home and I went with my brother to look at the Asian exhibit.  While walking around we discussed Semple and Sauer. We discussed Jared Diamond and Ratsel.

Later we walked through the park enjoying the air until we got to the 7 bus. We walked to the apartment after that.  Then we went and had Thai curry on Haight Street.  After that we made our way to the Outer Sunset to meet our friends.

Bike Party in Chico

On 20 November I wrote that I had gone to bed tweeting the night before and had gotten up at 8:30 and gone to breakfast.  About twenty minutes later I was ready to go to the Chico Tweed Ride.

I actually rode to the liquor store and got a bottle of rye and a cup of coffee before riding over to the town square.  I was soaking wet it because of the rain. At the plaza there was no one around. However, a moment later I saw a crowd at City Hall and went over there.

Immediately I was joined by some friends from Sacramento who reported that quite a few people we knew had decided not to come.

However, I did see the organizers and numerous other faces of people I remembered but couldn’t actually name.  As I interacted with them though I was able to place them.  There was the lady from the Cascades and that one particularly well dressed man who had asked something about regular rides in town. In some cases I knew names but couldn’t place faces and in other cases I couldn't remember many names but I had faces sorted.

The organizers talked to us then and we decided on a loop to compensate for the rain.  We took pictures and headed out along the main street. Then we crossed the major roads and entered the Bidwell Park. I rode with the people I knew best - the ones from Sacramento - who I had begun to think of as my group.

At about the the middle of the park I passed everyone and opened my bottle of rye.  As the group past by I counted 50 people. When I tried to catch up with my group I ended up talking to a wise man bike shop owner who knew the owner of a shop in SF I had gone to.  In fact he knew a lot of places and names.  I picked his brain as we rode.

We crossed the second bridge at the deer pens and headed back. I thought I'd be sly and drink my bottle but I had a bump and crashed. The bottle broke and I strained my arm.  The wise man help me but I still had to cut my finger on some the glass as I was picking it up.

We rode to the freeway crossing and stood around. I tried to play my strain off as a small thing.  One of the people in my group helped me with the blood on my hand. She had a bottle of water. I watched as some of the locals nearby were jousting in period outfits.  The wise man bike shop owner shared his whiskey and told us stories about the car free park.

We headed to the brewery after that. Our friend from up the hill tried to lead but didn't do very well. It had started raining again and one of the people in my group noted my jacket was quite wet.

At the brewery I folded my bike up and tried to dry off. Inside I sat next to an organizer. My group went to get a table and I ordered them stuff as they were putting their stuff down.

We discussed politics and did some catch up from the previous ride.  Eventually I got up and moved my bike to the table next to ours. The people sitting there were from Alameda.  I introduced myself and told them about SF Tweed.  Then I went and sat with the group of guys that do bike party in Chico and when they went out for some fresh air I told them I would see them at Christmas Preview.

After that we went all went to my hotel. One of our acquaintances from the group was attending a party and we went to it after stashing the bikes in my room. There was a geologist that I spoke too. Our acquaintance told everyone about me. We ate their Almond Roccas and sampled the host’s wine.

We all went to Duffys then. I interacted with a guy from the ride. We took the only booth and I spoke to our acquaintance from the party for a while. She had a property in Southern California.

The group broke up then and headed to Tomfoolery where we looked at the novelty items and many in the group were getting ready to go. We went to the antique store after that but I had forgotten my card at Duffys so returned there and had a drink.

My friends from Sacramento and I went to the new vintage shop but were not impressed. Then we went to Bootleg where we saw some amazing Apre ski shoes. We bought hats and other things there. I sent my friend some pictures. I was convinced to by a Pendleton jacket I found.

We walked to one final shop near City Hall where we found some really nice items. Then we went to my hotel and they got their things together and loaded their car. I went down and said goodbye to them before spending and an hour by myself packing. When I was ready to leave I started to write and learned my train was set to depart on time at 3:30 AM.

Gave Me His Anthology

On 13 November I wrote that I found a dimple on my top tube as I was leaving the apartment that I hadn't noticed before. I noted that it was probably from Bike Party or the day or two before that. I headed to the Castro for errands and went to Harvey's after that.

Much later my friend and I packed some bags and climbed to Haight to catch a seven to Noriega.  My father was there as we were getting off the bus and he walked with us to his house where we hung out in the kitchen, living room and other parts of the house talking loudly to my family.

The evening progressed wonderfully.  My sister made seared/baked veal and tilapia. We had a pumpkin and apple pie I had extra ice cream. I had wine and I tried to divert the conversation away from politics while we did the dishes.  I wanted to play scrabble but we were tired.  I probably fell asleep around 10 that night.

By 10 the next morning we were hanging out at a local coffee shop.  Unfortunately, the roaster, our acquaintance, wasn't in but my friend bumped into someone that she used to see at her old job. I had another coffee and then we went to the house  to sit with the parents before catching an N to Cole Valley for lunch and a glass of sparkling wine at a local cafe.  A local poet tweeted to me while we were there to say he had a regular spoken word thing every out front.

We went out and listened to his poetry then.  We were transfixed by some of the poems he shared with us.  He had a box of books to share and he gave me his anthology before we took the N to Civic Center.  On the way we bumped into a colleague of mine and and his buddy.

A while later I met some old college friend’s and their families for drinks and dinner at a local hotel.  It was a bit loud in the room but I ate it up. We had wanted to go to the hotel restaurant or the nearby veggie restaurant but in the end decided to go to the Giro place instead.

My friend and I took off a bit after this but I returned to the hotel an hour later. We talked about work and other things until we walked to beer hall for a beer. We talked about family and our personal lives. Much later we grabbed a couple of chairs from the lobby and he told me about his crazy father and uncle.

My friend and I met them the next morning in the hotel lobby for coffee and then said goodbye before they headed to see family in Marin.  From there we took the F to the Ferry Building for coffee and met my riding partner near Pier 7.

Getting into My Tweed

On 7 November I wrote that I noted that I was getting into my tweed when I discovered there was a bunch of noise in the front room. I noted that when I had everything all of a sudden my friend’s sister was downstairs.

I went for the meet up spot but no one was there – literally right before the meet up time. I found someone at the upper playground and that was when my friend and her sister arrived.

I noted that we relocated to the meet up spot and made ready to go get the trike at the laboratory via 19th. The executive gave us cotton candy. Then he lowered the trike to us. That was around when we left for Dolores Park again. Back at Dolores Park there were a lot of people but I wanted to hassle. I saw a bunch of people I knew.  There were photos. The executive we had interacted with had showed up.

We took Sanchez and then went up the Wiggle.  We had had a hard time with the Extracycle and my trike but they ran quietly enough. My friend and I discussed strategy and decided that we didn't need anything from the store. I interacted with many of the ride participants.

At the conservatory my friend’s old coworker offered us cheese and and tea until my mom and sister appeared with my niece. One of my Sacramento acquaintances offered me a beer.

Several people asked to ride the trike as I got some water.  I've interacted with one of the previous organizers around then. We had to go take a photo after that and my friend and I got extra photos. It was about time to leave then. I talked over some whiskey with a photographer. I also met a very well dressed lady from San Jose with a Sherlock Holmes hat.

I said bye to my mom and we rode with my niece to Page Street crossing and where we said bye to my sister.

There was an open house for a local high school but we managed to go through just fine after driving down Haight Street.  We headed to Page and Webster and then rode through Hayes Valley on McAllister before entering Civic Center and finishing the ride at 20th century.

We created a really large crowd there. I noted that it was trouble at first but soon the customers start clearing out and cyclists took their places. I noted that a few revelers left.

Someone had to be watching the bikes at all times so the organizers were stuck outside much of the time. I got some fresh air with the ladies and some of my friend’s best buddies stood at the door and made a bunch of noise. Eventually we sat down inside and I got some sparkly.

Once we were all seated my friend’s buddies and the organizers brought out a birthday cake. We sang happy birthday and took photos. Then she said stuff to everyone individually and people start to head out. I noted that a Sacramentan said they were going to Two Sisters. So, after I had dropped my friend off quietly at home I met them and few others for a drink and some talk.  I thanked everyone and went to smugglers cove with one of the organizers and her friend’s then.

He Knew Enough People

On 5 November I wrote that my friend made me beef stew and it was delicious. She also gave me whiskey to go. When I was finish we said bye and I got beer on the corner and rode to Dolores Park.  I met a guy on the way. When we got to the park I noted that I shared my whiskey with the guys, some of whome had just arrived.

We went up Sanchez and I managed to pass everyone. At Duboce I was in the front.  We took Oak and then I took it easy on the panhandle. I saw my pianist acquaintance then and we talked about celebrity.  I kept telling him that if he went into ads then he could do radio and eventually he could start doing more music.

I was trying to convince him, as we were making a loop around Pelosi and MLK, to talk to the local twitter sensation that we both read.  The guy had a radio show that I thought he would do well on.  I also told him not doing ads would get him to the point where he knew enough people. He said that he had also thought about comedy. I suggested talking to a comic I knew.

At the conservatory I parked next to one of the guys’ bikes and suggested to them that they go on a bike ride with me to Marin sometime.  One of them introduced me to his coworker - one of which built mouintaing bike trails. I talked with a bunch of regulars as I toured the party.

I saw some of the organizers - they had recently married - and gave another one an umbrella. I then spoke to a programmer I knew about something that was close to my expertise. I spoke to still more regulars and then the ride was leaving.

We went through the dahlias to page and then to Haight street.  Near Webster I skipped a few blocks and got lost all by myself on McAllister because I had passed the green flag.

I met the the group at Civic Center and we talked as I finished my beer. I said goodbye to everyone and told several people that I'd see them on Sunday.

Tickets for The Tasting

On November 4 I wrote that I often do this thing where I walk back-and-forth in the house while my friend is making noise in the living room. I wrote that I did this thing for a while before it was time to go get the farm box.

I sent my Twitter follower a message as I was walking down the street. The box was easily accessible and then I went to the hashtag event. There was quite a crowd there. Two colleagues who's company I really enjoy were there and that was nice.  I struck up a conversation with one about a found photographs non-profit we knew and in a short bit the other was sitting nearby too.

I met a French guy and the organizers were nearby.  I noted that some leaders were were absent. I noted that a minor twitter celebrity was also there and I also met a few others. One guy had this nifty app.  They were a few other interesting people.

My twitter follower showed up and he was clearly grateful to be around us.  He knew the minor twitter celebrity well and they stayed in conversation the rest of the night.  The bartender gave us tickets for the tasting. The troop of us went over. I snuck an extra drink.

This is when an associated personality - a fellow alumnus - came around and I noted that he had a bunch of plants. One of my colleagues – the chicken farmer – took one. One of the organizers took one of the others. When the organizer learned we were fellow alumnae the organizer mentioned another person from my college. She had had an interview with him.

I had one more beer and then I hung out with the twitterers before leaving. I went to the pizzeria and had a beer while my pizza was being made. Then I went to the apartment.

A Bus to Union

On the thirtieth of October I wrote that my neice and I hatched a plan for the day and walked to Rainbow Grocery. Then we went to Goodwill on mission and caught a bus to Union. The ladies were supposed to meet us but they couldn't. So, we caught a 45 to Lyon and walked past the Yoda statue to the Disney Family Museum.

I got us tickets while she checked our jackets.  We started on the first floor looking at Disney's early stuff and progress through to his midlife and onto Cinderella and etc. He created all this new cinematic technology and moved into a thing he called Animatronics. There's a scale model of Disneyland.

I had a snack while my niece got a souvenir for her sister and then we walk to Fillmore Street. She hated the buses but the views and neighborhoods made up for it.  At Duboce we walked to the apartment. I left the girls alone quietly in the bedroom before we had tacos with my friend’s aunt and her sister-in-law. When the aunt left we put on costumes and three of us left a little late for the Halloween party then.

We took the J from market and got off the 22nd and then climbed a huge hill to the party. First I saw the host and a guest we knew well. I noticed a whole bunch of people I knew. There were even some people from Sacramento.

In the kitchen there were several people I knew from bike party.  At one point many of us were in the backyard getting some fresh air.  There were a few people I had gotten to know over a long period.  Later I talked to the hostess and one of the organizers from Sacramento.

A couple of people left a little bit later as I was trying to set up a trip to Sacramento.  However, I discovered later that there was an event I wanted to do so I put it off. I made promises for overtime. I also tried to recruit people to travel to Chico or Marin.

My niece was falling asleep at that point so I introduced her to the host and we left after saying bye to everyone.  We went to the J and waited.  Later we walked to the apartment and it took several hours for us to wind down.

On the day that I wrote this I was up at 7:30 in the morning. The ladies were in the living room and I was writing.  A bit later I walked to whole foods and got coffee. I talked to a well known organizer who told me to look into research and then told me to volunteer.

Back at the apartment it was time to eat the cake my neice had made.  We spent a lot of time talking about how great it was. We ate too much.  I did the dishes after we ate and the ladies spent a few hours in the living room. They left a bit later with my friend.  I started to clean the living room and later had some tacos.

Hung Out At Outerlands

On 18 October I wrote that the Friday before I had gotten off at Millbrae and transferred and took a 28 to 48 and rode to the house. Dad was in the patio when I arrived. He had been waiting for my little brother – who had flaked. Upstairs I found my friend sitting quietly on the couch.

I wrote that I helped her until dinner with the family and we had leftovers – mom made it from the roast the night before. When dinner was done my friend and I did stuff downstairs and then we walked to Judah then and hung out at Outerlands. I saw some people I knew and was quite happy with how the evening turned out. I was in bed at 11:30 probably.

At around ten we broke down the bedroom and I had breakfast.  Then I drove my friend to the apartment. I brought the Brompton up and then we went to the coffee shop. There we met her sister who was waiting with coffee for us.  I remember those two ladies gossiping while I looked at Twitter.

We walked her to the hairstylist after that and stopped at the supermarket before heading to the  apartment for a meal.  Then I walked over to an acquaintance's house to get a key to the technical lab, got the car and drove back to the house. I had to stop at a hardware store but they told me to go to another place.

I knew it would rain soon so try to turn things around then. However, dad wanted some information and it turned out he was going to do me a favor. I thanked him for his help as I was leaving. Mom wanted me to view an architectural volume but I didn't have time to look at it.

I rode the trike then up to a second hardware store and then up Taraval to Laguna Honda and Portola. After that I rode through Diamond Heights. I got lost on 29th but eventually found Diamond Street, where the tricycle event’s after party was.

I arrived at my colleague's house a moment later and after yelling at someone through the window he opened the garage and I parked. Later I sat in the living room watching the guys talk to the hostess about work. I also had a drink in the kitchen with the host.

The guys took their spouses to the garage and rode the trikes - the rain had canceled the actual event. I showed everyone mine. I made my goodbyes then add ascended to Heights Boulevard before looking for Dolores from Chattanooga.

At the apartment I dropped my payload and picked up the Brompton. Then I went to the technical lab. I dropped the trike there and then rode to a bar for beer. I got rained on after that and cursed myself for stopping. I got back to the apartment at 6:30 and put on a robe because I was wet.  Later, after trying to be productive all evening, I finally gave up and got ready for bed.

On Sunday - the next day - I was up early and I followed my friend to Four Barrel around 930.  We texted Kristin an acquaintance but she was busy. I had another cup and we skipped hanging out with her.  We then returned to the apartment and I got back to working on the front room. I noted that over the course of the weekend we had spent time looking at the front room and that was when we started working on it.

The next day - Monday - my friend and I had coffee at Bluebottle. We also went to a cafe that had bread before walking through Elgin Park.  We settled in for an hour before my friend headed over to a neighbor’s house.

I did some research and then started setting up for an appointment. I texted a colleague and did some work and headed to my appointment where I found 12 others in attendance. I thought that was low. I tracked my comments and noted that and my average was pretty good.  We had a meeting afterward. I decided the meeting might produce a positive outcome. There was chocolate.

When I left the meeting I tried to go a nearby lounge but they had a private party so I went to the apartment.  I had had butternut squash soup and my friend brought a bottle of wine.

On the morning that I wrote this I was up at 930. I had breakfast with my friend and was unhappy with my eggs. Later, I started in on the papers in the front room.

I Got Bubbly Things

On 9 of October I wrote I got bubbly things and some falafel wraps. Then I went to the Wiggle and Panhandle. The ride host and company were at Golden Gate Park in the dahlias. I got some water and took a deep breath as we were leaving.

On JFK I met some of the riders. There were nearly 10 of us. We rode Arguello to Sacramento around to the gate and passed the Overlook. We went to Pacific overlook and took a photo. My riding partner’s wife’s music made a big splash with the people that were there. We rode down Lincoln and I waited at 25th. Everyone went to China Beach. SOme of our party parked and the rest of us rode down. I ate some candy that a guy from Nova Scotia offered. I had a beer and finished my water.

I took pictures of the fighter planes for Fleet Week. Later we rode up to Lake and then took 23rd up to the park. Then we took JFK and we passed the waterfall. We finish the ride back at the Conservatory.

At the Dahlia garden around 3 o'clock my friend showed up. We settled into a picnic with a sheet and one of the ride participants helped out in a big way.  I hung out with the host and new people – a couple of guys and I sat on the grass enjoying the air. Someone had a hammock. Eventually my friend and and I left for the apartment on foot.

Have to Think Quick

On 8 of October I wrote that the day previous I had ridden my bike to the station after work. I stopped in the park and contemplated my day. The train took me to 16th easily. I heard from my friend about bike party and noted I would have to think quick.

I rode to the Argentinian place and then went to the apartment.  My friend went running then and I took over. Later she returned and we took turns. When things had settled I heated dinner and then I left.

I had texted Eugene and Kevin. I stopped at the corner store and then rode to Grant Street and Portsmouth Square. I took a lot of chances.  I saw the regulars as we rode to Washington and Stockton. Then we went past Citizen Chain where I spoke to some lady - she had a can in her hand.

We went to the Embarcadero and zigzagged past Pier 7 - we had gone too far.  When we got back to Pier 7 I hung out with my riding partner and his wife while talking to an East Bay Bike Partier and a new guy.  Also, one of the organizers and I spoke for a while.

A coworker showed up then and we rode with the group down Embarcadero to Showplace Triangle where we hung out with old school partiers. My coworker and I rode to 15th then and we said bye.

Pancakes with Blueberries

On 2 October I wrote that we were nearly ready to go to the light industrial lab when we realized that I had to go to the specialty bike shop. I got my friend outside and got her walking to the lab before I headed to the to the F line.  The bike wasn't ready so instead of getting my new bag there I went over to their competitor across the street. Upon my return the bike was ready but they had some confusion over the bill.

I took BART to 16th and got 3 V batteries before going to the lab. I spoke to an acquaintance and then went upstairs to talk to the host and look at the shop. Back downstairs I had a Torani cocktail and my friend gave me a plate. I helped the hosts at the end of the party.

When we were done my friend and I made our way to the 48 bus. We barely made it and the driver was really rude. Dad kept texting to see when he would pick us up.  We managed to get better seats and at West Portal we waited and caught the next L before walking to the house. We managed to turn the situation around before going up stairs.

My older sister and her husband had just arrived and when we established that they would help us out we returned to the room. My friend left me alone and as I got my things together I could hear my nibblings in the backyard.  When my younger sister arrived we all sat to eat and take photos. The kids offered to manage the noise and did a great job.  When dinner was done my friend and I hung out downstairs until it was time for tea.  When my younger sister’s family was ready to go it was clear that we were not going to play scrabble.  When we were done saying bye I tried to hang out with my brother in law before I brought my friend some tea in the garage.

I woke up around 730 and made a lot of noise in the living room.  That woke everyone up. I made pancakes with blueberries and did the dishes before I sat down to eat. I burnt the bacon. I finished the kitchen after we were done eating.

After a brief discussion we went to with my friend. I took the trike and my brother-in-law took the mountainbike.  My friend and my sister were along too.  Unfortunately, it rained a bit and we had to run home.  My older sister left just as the younger one came to drive us to the apartment. There was a street fair was in the way so we we had to go around.

When we arrived we unwound in the living room and when the sister left we made dinner.
