I Decided to Record

On the twenty-fifth of October I wrote that I was dead set on going out the night before.  I wanted to got to the bank and to then stop by 9th and drop a video off but I sat watching TV until around 1130 and went to bed.

I was up at around 630 and left for Java around 830.  I saw dad in the patio while I was greasing my chain.  He was headed to the mission.  I sat reading the paper at the cafe until around 10 and rode home to be alone for a while, type and write.  I had wanted to do bike things and go to the bank then too but decided to put that off.

Later mom asked me to move some stuff around in the basement so I did that and later I had a meal upstairs with her.  I told her that I needed forty blog posts with a thing each pertaining to my life.  Later she revealed several things to me about her web accounts that I decided to record.

Most pressing was her Flickr account which she had had for about three years.  She said that she had had trouble getting into it.  I told her she should just resort to the “forgot” link and follow the directions.  She told me that the last time that she had signed in to her blog was a while ago.  Finally I noted that a lot of things needed to be done for Facebook.

After our talk I went down to do my typing and that was when my sister came in with the kids.  I had to do some more laundry and then filling too.  I called my friend.

Later I wrote that I finished typing and went up and helped mom with her blog.  It took a while and I had to have her focus on how to bring up the apps.  My neice had her come downstairs to look at her (mys sister’s) pumpkin creation.  I checked the laundry and then made to leave.  I grabbed the video.  I also found the BIkes to Books map but had to leave it home.  I rode to Swell and bought a tire that made me forget to go to the bank and video store.  Later I sat near the waterfall and catch my breath.

At my friend’s we had a drink and caught up.  I told her about the weekend.  She told me about the horrible infrastructure in Santa Rosa and being around her family.  Then showed me the loot she had brought back from the garage sale.  As a young woman she had fallen in love with a box of buttons and lace which her mom had given her.

We discussed all of this over the soup and cornbread until I had changed my tire and headed to the video store and bank.  Upon leaving the house I discovered that I had left my back break off but I didn’t fix it immediately.  I climbed up through Golden Gate Park and over to 9th.  I got Dr. Who and Casino Royale.  The Cashier didn’t seem very friendly.  I almost forgot to go to the bank but my friend had asked me to stop at the store and that reminded me.

I got the bike and discovered once again that I needed to fix my break.  Back at my friend’s we sat down and watched an episode of Dr. Who.

This is an occasional series chronicling my life. This Notebook Analysis series is meant to be contemporaneous piece developed as an agglomeration of my notebook pages. In each of these posts I used my notes to develop my recent thoughts.
