The Fast Track Dinged

On 14 August I wrote that the previous Friday I took trains home to the apartment and found mom and dad there. When they were leaving, they left the car with me. I had pasta with my friend and the roommate was around for a short bit. That night I tried to make some posts.

It was 630 when I woke but I came into the living room at 8:30. I was in bed nesting until 10. I had French toast with my friend and a bit later headed to Fairfield.

We had an easy ride through the East Bay and crossed the strait at Martinez headed to Vallejo and I noticed that the fast track dinged. That portion of the ride was easy. We needed several things at the store but we just ran in on our way to Starbucks. That stop was easy. We left Fairfield at 3 o'clock.

We got to the Hyatt and valeted the car. I got us into the room easy and we rested. And hour later we called the car up and went down. We took ninth and went through Land Park.

Everyone was full of excitement when we came in. We stood by the living room and all the ladies made bird whistles. My old classmate’s fiance got me a drink and we sat on the couch. They were all very happy and we took pictures. I made my friend and I a bunch of food. I saw a lot of my classmates’ parent. Other old classmates arrived in time and one person suggested we go to the mountains someday.

I went outside to make a drink and also made another plate of picnic food. A lot of my classmate's friends were there and while I didn't know most of them I saw so many people I did know it was alright. I sat with the guys and their father and my friend hung out with people she knew. We talked about a trip to Hawaii. This is around when I saw people that used to date together and I was really happy about that. I talked to them for a bit and they acted very familiar with me.

People were leaving at this point so I said bye and the hostess walked us to the car.

We made it back to the Hyatt by 930 and we stopped by the lobby for tater tot's. I fell asleep then but about three hours later I woke up and stayed up for a while after that.

In the morning I went and got coffee and when I returned the sun was streaming in through the window. It was really warm.

We descended to the lobby then and we had the valet pack up the car. That made the rest the breeze. I got more coffee. We drove the capital mall out to the yellow bridge – I should've gone all the way to the causeway but we sat in traffic instead.

We quit driving at Fairfield and went to the stores again. We went to one store that had a lot of stuff that we actually needed. After this we went to Trader Joe's and got food before heading to the bank. The drive was not fun. There was traffic all the way back to the city.

Rode the Empty Train

On the fifth of August I wrote that I left feeling bothered by a meeting but the ride was a breath of fresh air.  I took over from my friend when I got to the apartment and her old coworker came in moments later.  I showed her the new room.  I traded places with my friend and before I walked away they told me dinner was almost ready.

I noted that I was happy the guest had come while we ate.  We talked about our lives and I mentioned that I would be going to Elixir after getting the Farm box.  There was a guy locked out when I got there from Valencia.  We rang unit 14 after 19 didn’t work.

At Elixir some people had called off and a coworker had a date to go to.  The host showed up late and I learned that some others had been sitting in the other end of the bar the whole time.  I was with them for a beer and then went to the apartment and around 1145 and I went to bed.

I woke at 4 am and sat with Twitter until around 620 and then I left.  I rode to 4K then and rode the empty train with my coffee.

Directions to The Bridge

On the fourth of August I wrote that I had stopped to catch my breath on the way to CT and the rest of the trip was as normal.  I went to Whole Foods and got some stuff.  I interacted with my friend’s mom at the apartment.  My friend called to change the locks.

I went to ZG and bought a pitcher.  A cyclist I knew came in and the transportation managers came in afterwards.  Some of the old guard came in then.  I got a call from friend a bit later and I had to give her mom directions to the bridge.  I decided to return to the apartment.

The roommate let me in.  I sat in the living room and when dinner was ready I we sat to eat food.  I left them alone for an hour then and at nine my friend went to bed and I was at the desk - nearly falling asleep.  The roommate complained that the internet was not working.  When my friend was up I went to bed around 12.

I was up at 630 and was late for my train.  I skipped coffee and made it fine.

On the Oakpath

On 19 July I wrote that I woke up at around 11 and went to Four Barrel with my friend. The people there were happy to see us. We went to the apartment and she made a meal and I laughed. Later she was in the bedroom napping.

I had a meal around two and then left when she returned. I went to Noman coffee and then to the rent board. There I spoke to a counselor. I told her my deal.  She told me the first step is to send a notice and a retainer submitted with a period for response. She gave me a flowchart in a pamphlet. The pamphlet got little underlines. She used to these to explain the steps.

Then she gave me a copy of ordnance measures and update. She also provided me with the info for the San Francisco bar and suggested I contact them to consult. We made small talk and I got my bike. I rode it on McAllister to Divisadaro and discovered that the coffee shop had begun closing at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. I went to another place to write

A short while later I went and picked up a rug from a woman I had interacted with on Craigslist. She was moving out because her building was a freak show. The rug, which I later had placed   in the apartment nearest the back door, was very heavy.

I stopped on Panhandle to catch my breath. I also gave two double parkers a good talking to on the Oakpath. At the apartment we had a visitor fixing us dinner. I fixed us water and wine. We had delicious enchiladas. When dinner was done we sat with the birds and chatted. We had ice cream with the roommate and I put things away.

Had an OK Interaction

On 14 July I wrote that I hadn't written in my notebook for five days. I noted that I had been a bar when I last was right writing. It was the evening and some lady wanted my table. I left off in my writing saying that there was a fight on the satellite television channels and the bar was really packed. I had an OK interaction with the lady and then I left.

I was asleep shortly afterwards.

Birdwatching

And the morning of July 4 I woke up to learn that my friend thought we should go birdwatching. We had coffee at Four Barrel a bit later and then went to the apartment to make plans with the ornithologists.  They were not available.  At one point I remember noting that the phone calls were difficult.

The  roommates were in but one was asleep. We went to the bedroom and I remained open trying to take a nap. The ornithologist called and I let them know that we weren't coming over just yet. I went to the liquor store after that.

My friend and I walked over Octavia and around Hayes Valley until we found some food at La Boulange.  A bit later we were walking back to the apartment.  Our friend showed up then and the three of us packed her car and went over to birdwatch.

When we got in I made a bunch of phone calls. There had been a little bit of back-and-forth between us in the car.

Complained about Bike Party

On the second July I wrote that the day before I left work after saying goodbye and I rode halfway to Redwood City before I had to catch my breath. The ride to 16th St. was all right. I rode to the apartment and discovered my friend was with her aunt. I was lucky to help her load her car because I had nearly missed her as she was leaving. She gave me a Merry Christmas picture her mother had made.

I hung out with my friend for a while and made a list. I left her in the kitchen making dinner. When I returned she had already eaten. As I ate I listened to her complain about the roommate. About 25 minutes later I was getting ready to go to bike party. We looked at the assemblage but decided it was too complicated for that night.

I rode fine on my way up Page on my way to Children's Playground. I hung out with one of the guys and we waited for our friends to arrive. There were a lot of the usual people but I didn't much say a lot to them. A couple of the guys shared their whiskey. I took a lot of photos as we rode Pelosi and MLK. We crossed 19th and went up 25th. My strategy has always been to rotate.I noted that there was a loop at Ortega using 35th.  I noted that we continued on to the suit. I met a lady with her young child.

At the zoo I hung out with a couple of the younger menstayed. They interacted with some of the ladies I knew from Butter and I interacted with the one guy who had gone on Butter the most. After this we rode the great highway to Golden Gate Park and up to the Polo Fields. I decided I didn't really get along with most of the people on that ride. At the spot we had chosen to stop, I stood with one of the guys and then hung out with random people.

I told one of them that I was going to leave and the guys to take Overlook Drive with me. They were confused at first but OK. We complained about bike party and there was broad agreement.

We bumped into an organizer and her hubby on the way and I didn't really feel like they wanted to ride with me so I said goodbye to everyone.

She Wanted to Go

On the twenty-ninth of June I wrote that I left around 230 and went to RWC.  Then I went to Mib and 16th.  At the apartment my friend and I sat with computers for an hour.  She was really uncomfortable.  I left her alone for an hour and later returned to the computer.  Eventually I had posted and started to head out for the memorial ride.  She surprised me by saying she wanted to go.

I carried our bikes downstairs then and we walked up to Safeway before riding to the Panhandle.  It was a lot of work but she never mentioned the birds.  When we arrived we saw people we knew.  I spoke to an old Bike Party friend and he introduced me to a guy who knew my friend.  We rode through Stanyan and beyond.

At the ghost bike we stood in silence for twenty minutes.  Then we returned up JFK.  Our car free acquaintance rode with my friend most of the way.  I rode with some guys I knew.  They said hi to my friend.  We peeled off at Market.  My friend was talking to a lady from butter when the ride went to SOMA for the second memorial in the ride.

At the apartment I cleaned up the guest list and prepared the data for input but I gave up and we went to bed at around 1130.

In the morning of the day that I wrote this I went to Four Barrel with my friend around 7.  She told me that she didn’t want to do anything for the weekend.  A little after this I caught a late train at Fourth and King.  I followed a truck at Whipple.
