I wrote that I left the day before with
enough time to make the train. The trip
was uninteresting. I transferred at
Embarcadero and there were only 2 trains before the N. I didn’t connect at 23 and had to wait but I
did finish the paper and eat dinner with dad.
I told mom her soup was delicious.
I then worked on the NA and posted a few stories about Kathryn. I went to bed around 1030. I think I woke up twice. I got up at 545 and left at 630. I rode
to Embarcadero. There were no
problems from Golden Gate Park to Civic Center.
I dropped the bike and got coffee.
Two people realized too late that they had ended up going back to the
East Bay on the Concord train.
I spent a lot of time thinking about
Kathryn. She isn’t making good
decisions. Clearly she has a social
arrangement with many people of consequence but she isn’t economizing and that
indicates weakness. She seems to be
running home to mommy out of fear and I am not certain if she realizes that her
friends will be around less and less.
I saw Mike, Jimmy and Rhoda leaving
probably for San Ramon. Grace was here
when I came in. There was a discussion
of jobs. She was getting a few calls
from Insight Global. Vikram came in to
say that we are ready for DE> There
were 6 emails from last night and four from the morning. Vikram wanted to verify that the views
existed. Grace did the the Non FMESME
and David did the SME. The last six
emails are less important.
I wrote that Grave helped me to
understand the processes that we are engaged in. I asked if the only way to understand the
process was to use the mapping documents and she said essentially yes. I showed her the FME document I had for Risk
and explained that I would use this. She
then opened up Sharepoint and the C+C View Design. She said that these are really the only way
to figure anything out. Then she said
every morning she uses the time stamp query that Tika had provided her to see
what is in the DataBase.
She had to stop the process of
explanation to respond to an email from Lingyi about Link and Stage. She had to submit a form for IT DB Admin
Service Request because we had reviewed from Dustin. Grace says that we don’t always have to ask
for help with Link and Stage from DRA.
We only need help when we have specific errors in the report. One such is the key collision. I then confirmed that afterwards there is
also the tool testing.
Grace started running DE. We recorded the process. We got a notice about PPMC but it doesn’t
affect us. Later I bumped into Andrew in
the break room and we discussed Kathryn.
He seemed interested in the Fairfax trip.
I started looking into Buffersize. I sent an email to Vikram about protocol in
HPQC and responded to Vlad about the source for ClPerSeries. Bend FME doesn’t have elbows but may not have
control points. I emailed an SQL query
to David.
Grace had been having problems with
Admin Service Request and Vikram explained it to her a little bit. I was still working on Buffersize. Gabe invited us to explain the problem and
then we started in on my computer because DE was running. Gabe was outside and had meetings all
day. Mavis is Gabes DBO and Lingyi is
ours. Gabe said that Grace did
everything correct.
While Gabe was looking, I wrote that I
was thinking about the idea of revealing my relationship status. I thought about talking to Joel and bike to
work day. I found out that I had
Andrew’s number. I had to explain to
Grace what Joel was doing when he came by to find Vikram. She also showed me the job estimate. I had to explain gas stations to Grace too.
We checked David’s computer and his log
on worked. Gabe said that normally the
request comes in really quick and said we should call the TSC. Grace did call the TSC. They said to ask the DBA chief didn’t
help. We then called TSC and Vamba
answered. I explained the problem and
introduced everyone. I wrote that we
cannot make submissions because SMC has an authentication problem on the back
end. Meaning that the form isn’t
throwing and exception but the location the form points to is. TSC sent us to SMC.
Later we got on the phone with Scott and
immediately he narrowed in on what made us different from Vikram and
David. We had lost our connection at one
point because of layoffs. He said that
he would fix it for us. He said that
when we were rehired there should have been an HR push. He remoted in and figured it out for us. In this process we found that Vikram is only
enabled and doesn’t have access either.
Grace and I checked to see if the process worked and it did.
I went to lunch and when I got back I
returned to buffersize.
I went through the process of writing up
some of the emails for Buffersize and have managed to get to where the
stationing is screwy.
I did my time card.
I copied this from my notebook posted it
to the blog on 042414.
