On May 18 I wrote that we rose slowly and I waited to get breakfast and coffee before I started to function. We took garbage down and packed.
A load was running when we left. We drove to Fairfield and got some things but there was no coffee anywhere so had to make a second stop. However, it turned out we were on time. On the way through Folsom the car was quiet and I pointed out the electricity sites. Placerville was interesting. When we passed through Kyburz we found the hotel just fine.
I saw the bride’s brother as I rushed to check in and get ready. The wedding party had moved outside. I congratulated the groom and he handed us a toy Racecar. The ceremony was really great. One of the highlights was how frank the minister was about being transsexual and supporting civil rights causes. We noted that the vows were very similar. The groom sketched out their lives and the bride called out their shared interest.
I had gotten some umbrellas and a whiskey by the time we had made it to end of the ceremony. We all ran inside as the weather turned. We got a table and we moved back-and-forth. However, we spent a lot of time with the pool table which was very loud because of the video games.
An acquaintance with broken leg was in the lobby. There were appetizers and an open bar. We missed the toast but got enough to eat. I started slowing down when the dancing started. I stayed downstairs and noted that it was half as loud as before.
This is an occasional series chronicling my life. This Notebook Analysis series is meant to be contemporaneous piece developed as an agglomeration of my notebook pages. In each of these posts I used my notes to develop my recent thoughts.
